What is a Ansoff Matrix Template?
An Ansoff Matrix template is a pre-designed framework that helps businesses identify potential growth strategies by plotting products and markets in a 2x2 matrix. How to Use an Ansoff MatrixTemplate in Creately?
Click the Edit the template button of this Ansoff matrix template or go to the Templates section in the Creately App, type “Ansoff Matrix” in the search bar, and select Use Template or Add to Workspace to customize.
Review the Ansoff Matrix template structure with its four quadrants: Market Penetration, Product Development, Market Development, and Diversification. Adjust the layout if needed, using the drag-and-drop feature to move, resize, or add additional text boxes and shapes from the Shape Library.
Begin by dragging a Text Box or Sticky Note from the Shape Library into the relevant quadrant of the Ansoff matrix template based on your strategic goals. Double-click to type in product names, business units, or strategies under each section.
Place each product or strategy within the appropriate quadrant of the Ansoff matrix template. Use Market Penetration for growth within existing markets, Product Development for creating new products, Market Development for entering new markets, and Diversification for entirely new products in new markets. Arrange items to visualize strategy prioritization.
Click on each Text Box or Shape and use the Format Toolbar to apply colors to distinguish strategies. For example:
