Simple Customer and Orders ER Diagram

This ERD template uses Crow’s Foot notation to represent a simple one-to-many relationship in a retail business database. It shows two entities: Customers and Orders, where the CustomerID in the Customers table acts as the primary key and uniquely identifies each customer. The Orders table includes CustomerID as a foreign key, establishing a link back to the customer who placed the order. This setup illustrates how primary and foreign keys work together to maintain data integrity, with each customer able to place multiple orders, but each order belonging to only one customer.
