How to Use the KWL Chart Templates in Creately

• Choose a template that suits your needs
  

  Choose a KWL chart template. Click “Edit This Template” to open it and set up the three columns.

• Sign in or create a free Creately account
  

  Create a free account or sign in. This lets you save your kwl chart, return to it later, and keep every change synced to your workspace.

• Open the template and customize it
  

  Use the three columns—Know, Want to know, Learned—to track understanding before, during and after a lesson or project.

  • Fill “K” with what you already know
  • List questions in “W” — what you want to learn
  • Record findings in “L” as you learn
  • Add a topic heading at the top
  • Extend with an “H” column (how to learn) if desired
• Ready-to-fill learning grid
  

  The three columns are pre-labeled so students or teams can start capturing prior knowledge and questions immediately, then close the loop with what they learned.

• Collaborate with your team
  

  Share for feedback. Give others view or edit access to your kwl chart, gather comments inline, and resolve them without leaving the canvas.

• Save, export, or present
  

  Finish and share. Save to your workspace, export the kwl chart as PNG, JPEG, SVG or PDF, or present it live — then embed or link it wherever your team works.
