How to Do a Force Field Analysis with Creately?

  • Identify and define the change you want to make. To do so, understand the current state of things and set achievable goals.
  • Gather a relevant team and brainstorm (using a mind map) the factors that are most likely to be changed/ impacted. List them down on a Creately force field analysis template.
  • As you prefer, share the force field analysis diagram with your team with a diagram link and give them easy access to edit the diagram in real-time with Creately collaboration features.
  • Next, brainstorm and identify the factors that would show resistance to the change you want to apply. List them down on the diagram as well.
  • Assess the driving and restraining forces. Rate them from strong to weak based on the impact they have.
  • Examine the forces and try to figure out which forces are flexible and have some capacity to be influenced.
  • Develop a strategy to strengthen the driving forces and minimize the impact of the restraining forces.
  • Identify the resources you’ll need to deploy your strategy and the action steps. You can use a process map to outline the steps.
