A KWL Chart is a graphic organizer that helps students engage with a topic by outlining what they already know (K), what they want to learn (W), and what they have learned (L). It begins with students brainstorming their prior knowledge and then formulating questions or learning goals, fostering curiosity and setting the direction for the lesson. After the lesson, students reflect and record new knowledge in the L section, promoting active learning and a sense of accomplishment.
