Today we’ve got some exciting news with the latest developments that will make Creately a better platform for improved collaborative diagramming. And, here’s an update on the recent additions!
1) New Search Option
We’ve added an advanced search option on your right side panel. We knew you didn’t really like the process of loading the Creately Library to look up for images, so we’ve made it easy by adding a search bar on the top.
You can now simply type in the keywords of the image you’re looking for, and wait till the images load. More interestingly, you’re not limited to search images only from the Creately Object Library, instead look up for images from Google and IconFinder.com too. Isn’t Creately only getting better? 🙂
Then, simply drag-n-drop any of these images from the left panel onto your drawing canvas to get your diagram made!
2) Improved Import Image Feature
But, what’s the best option if a particular image you’re looking for doesn’t show up on the left panel? Click on the Import Image button on the Main Toolbar to upload your own images.
This feature was available even before, what’s new about it? You can now import an image directly from the Web by specifying the image’s URL. This will save loads of your time, as you no longer have to save the images on your desktop to import them back into Creately.
3) URLs for private diagrams
All your public diagrams were given special URLs, but now we’ve introduced URLs for all your private diagrams too.
You can simply click on the Enable View link and share the non-editable (only viewable link) with everyone on your project team. Your team can then simply click on the link to view the diagrams instead of having to log in to see the diagrams.
On the other hand, in case you want to give a few members the authority of editing the diagram, click on Enable Edit Link and share this link with them. This will allow them to open up the diagram by simply clicking on the URL, and then they can make edits in real-time. Aren’t you excited about the new developments?
Then, Login to Creately now to check out the great new features, and let us know what you feel. We’d love to hear it from you!
