How do I create a Project in Creately?

Creating a Project is very easy in Creately. Log into the application and you'll find the Creately's Projects Page.

  • In the Document Manager, click the New Project button on the left of the Creately application to create a new project.

  • Create a New Project

  • The empty New Project will open up. Now click on the Edit icon to give a new name for your project.

  • To delete a Project from the Document Manager, simply select the project and click on the Delete icon to remove it. Deleting a Project also deletes the diagrams in the Project.

Are the projects created on Creately Desktop and Creately Online sync'ed?

Yes this is a potent feature of Creately Desktop. Projects created on Creately Desktop are automatically sync'ed into Creately online and vice versa. But, you can selectively disable synchronization.

  • On the left hand side of the Document Manager, you'll see all your project folders sync'ed with your Creately Online account.

  • Sync a Project

  • Now, you can select a project and click on the sync logo to stop syncing the selected project with your Creately Online.

  • Once you click to stop syncing, the Project folder icon and the synchronization logo will change colour.

  • Stop syncing a project


How do I tag Diagrams in Creately?

Creately lets you add user-defined tags to all your diagrams. Tagging your diagrams will help in filtering diagrams easily and saves a whole lot of your time.

Tagging can be done in the following 2 ways:

  • When creating a new diagram - In Create a New Document window select a ready made template or a blank diagram and start assigning tags for your diagram;

  • Assigning Tags

  • Or Open any Diagram in the Drawing Editor, then click on Properties to open the Right Panel. From here, you can add, edit and remove tags on diagrams. You can also include a Description to your Diagram.
