Managing Diagrams

Diagram Management is done thru the Creately Dashboard. Learn how to:

  1. Open a Diagram
  2. Open older Versions of a Diagram
  3. Rename a Diagram

Opening a Diagram is Easy.

How do I open a saved diagram?

  • Click on the Open icon on the Main Toolbar to open the Creately's Projects Page.

    • Open Creately Diagram Manager

  • In the Creately's Projects Page, use Filters to see documents created or shared by other users. This will help you to easily identify the document which you want to open, then click on a preview image of your document to select it.

  • Click Open Document button to view/edit your diagram on the Drawing Canvas.

Open an older version of a Diagram.

Does Creately support multiple revisions? We sure do.

  • Click on the Open icon on the Main Toolbar to open the Creately's Projects Page.

  • In the Creately's Projects Page, use Filters to show documents belonging to a particular filter. Then, click on a preview image of your document to select it.

  • Click on the "Version History" option at the bottom left in the Creately's Projects Page to view older revisions created by yourself and other collaborators.

  • Click on a version to preview, open, rename or delete that revision.

Rename a Diagram

  • Click on the Open icon on the Main Toolbar to open the Creately's Projects Page.

    • Open Creately Diagram Manager

  • In the Creately's Projects Page, use Filters to show documents belonging to a particular filter. Then, click on a preview image of your document to select it.

  • Click on the "Rename" option at the bottom left in the Creately's Projects Page to edit the name of a document. Type in a new name or update an existing name and hit the Enter key to confirm.

Delete a Diagram

How do I delete my diagrams?

  • Click on the Open icon on the Main Toolbar to open the Creately's Projects Page.

  • In the Creately's Projects Page, use Filters to show documents belonging to a particular filter. Then, click on a preview image of your document to select it.

  • Click on the "Delete" option at the bottom left in the Creately's Projects Page.

  • You'll be prompted with a confirmation dialog. Click on either "Delete all Versions" or "Delete Selected Version" to delete.

Create a Copy

How do I create a copy of my diagram?

  • Click on the Open icon on the Main Toolbar to open the Creately's Projects Page.

  • In the Creately's Projects Page, use Filters to show documents belonging to a particular filter. Then, click on a preview image of your document to select it.

  • Click on the "Create Copy" option at the bottom left in the Creately's Projects Page to Create a Copy of the selected document. A new diagram is automatically created and placed in your Project. You can then Rename the diagram.

Sync a Diagram with Creately Online

How do I stop syncing a diagram with Creately Online?

  • Click on the Open icon on the Main Toolbar to open the Creately's Projects Page.

  • All your diagrams created on the Creately Desktop are automatically sync'ed into your Creately Online account. But, you can selectively disable synchronization. Click on a preview image of your document to select it.

  • You'll see the "Online Sync" option at the bottom left in the Creately's Projects Page. Simply click on this icon to stop synchronizing the diagram with Creately Online.
